Special Friday evening Round at Dunsborough - 18th May 2012

The Dunsborough (home) games in ALL FIFA divisions for Round 3 (scheduled for 19th May) will be played on Friday evening (18th May).

In addition there will be a "friendly" game between the two Dunsborough U11 teams.

The Leeuwin Naturaliste Junior soccer cup finals season windup was on last week at the newly revamped Dunsborough playing fields and was the culmination of a fantastic season of soccer played by (total number in association) kids from ages 5-18 years old.

The weather turned on the sun for the event and the good weather made for some impressive games, showcasing the depth of talent within the region.

The first game to be played was the under 15’s and it set the pace for the rest of the day.

It was Margaret River Striker’s v Mackillop Storm .

The strikers had many chances at the first half but failed to capitalize and Storm over run them to the tune of 5-2, the score line did not reflect the effort Margaret River put in through the season, as this was the first game this year they have lost.

Next was the under 13’s champions, the Capel Wolves v Busselton Sharks, a very close game that was tied for most of the game, Spectators relished the tussle with a lot of cheering and encouragement from the sidelines.

Perth Glory is now calling for nominations for their 2011/12 National Youth League side.

Perth Glory Youth Team Coach, Gareth Naven says: "After the completion of our third season in the National Youth League we are now setting our sights on improving again for next season, a process which begins with the selection of players.

"With an existing strong base of players to draw on from our experience last season, the 2011/12 Perth Glory Youth Team are again looking for the best young local WA players aged between 16-20 (born 90-95)."

This trial process will commence in June with nomination forms to be received by the Perth Glory Office no later than 12pm 17th June, 2011.

Due to ground availability, some changes have been made to the LNJSA Youth League Boys Fixtures. A new fixture document was uploaded at 5am, Friday 6 May. Please destroy all YLB fixtures downloaded prior to this and advise players to download the lastest form.

New and updated ground location maps are also now available with arial images of the grounds and pitch layouts.
